Milnthorpe Parish Council works on behalf of the local community to support village life, protect our shared spaces, and ensure Milnthorpe continues to thrive as a friendly, vibrant place to live, work and visit. We look after local services, respond to residents’ concerns, and work with partners across the district to represent the interests of the parish.
Our aim is to be open, accessible and engaged with everyone in Milnthorpe
Meetings are held on the first Monday of the month (except August)

Members of the Public are welcome to come along to any Parish Council Meeting and will have the opportunity to voice their concerns, offer suggestions or comment on any item on the agenda. Guidance on public participation can be found at the bottom of the Agenda.

Following the resignation of long serving Cllr Adair, there is now a vacancy for a Parish Councillor. Details can be found here

It was with sadness that Cllr Adair's resignation was accepted. She has been a Member on the Council for 14 years and has served the village with her work, opinions and humour. She was particularly keen on ensuring safety around the village, especially road safety. She was a very active member of the mobile speed camera team, often carrying out the role in poor weather conditions. Her contribution will be missed.
